Treatment For Acne Scars - Which Will Work The Best?

I am going to share with you some personal reviews on the treatment for acne scars that I have came across. Personally, I feel some people can get rid of their acne scars faster than the other. Depending on the severity, to get rid of the scars totally will probably take a very long time. All I can say most treatments in the market are believe to reduce the appearance of scars, making it not looking so obvious.

Obagi Blue Peel
Cost of Obagi Blue peel can range from $400-$700. It works by applying layer of the peel in 1 to 4. The whole process will probably take about 20-30 minutes. A blue hue will remain on the skin after the process is done. Skin will darken and start peeling in day 2, however some will start peel slightly later, especially for first timer. The downtime for obagi blue peel can last for as long as up to 10 days. The scary part of this treatment is you have to head straight home immediately after the treatment cause the skin will be red, swell and swollen is quite obvious. The effectiveness for scar reduction with about 5 times treatment is about 30% better than before. Better looking, glowing skin will be revealed each time after the peel. One thing I dislike about this treatment, downtime is too long and the redness on the face makes it difficult for one to go out.

Microdermabrasion
Cost of microdermabrasion can range from $40 to $200. It works by using a machine with adjustable suction to remove the outermost layer of the deadskin. I feel that this treatment will not show significant improvement for deep scars. It has no downtime and works great if you need an urgent face lift or boost to your skin. Makeup seems to stay better after the treatment. Great for giving skin radiance and can use this treatment as maintenance purpose. If it is a treatment for acne scars, I put my hands down that it won't work well.

Laser Skin Resurfacing
Cost of laser skin resurfacing can range from few hundred to thousand. It works using high-intensity light emissions to vaporize the skin surrounding sunken imperfections like scars or wrinkles, to bring it down to their level. Depending on what kind of laser skin resurfacing treatment that you are going, downtime can be from 0 day to 7days. You should be able to see improvements after the 3rd treatment. It is effective, but really too expensive for most people.

Zenmed Scar Treatment Kit
Cost of zenmed scar treatment kit is $59.90. It works with having a peel and scar gel. Considering the budget, this is the cheapest option among all and one has to be dilligent enough to apply the treatment consistently. Acne scars will appear lighter after 8-10 treatment. It is great for maintaining fresh looking skin. This is a good option for lightening the less serious scars.

Before you settle on any of the treatment for acne scars, consider the budget and the comfort level that you can settle for.
